Return and Refund Policy

At J and P Trailers, we are committed to customer satisfaction and stand behind the quality of our new and used horse trailers. This Return and Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which returns, refunds, and exchanges may be accepted.


1. General Policy

Due to the nature of our products, all trailer sales are considered final unless otherwise stated in writing. However, we may allow returns or issue refunds under specific circumstances outlined below.


2. Eligibility for Returns

Returns may be considered if:

  • The trailer delivered does not match the description or specifications agreed upon at the time of purchase

  • The trailer arrives with significant, undisclosed damage

  • A written return agreement was included in your purchase contract

To be eligible:

  • You must notify us within 3 days of delivery or pickup

  • The trailer must be unused and in the same condition as received

  • You must provide proof of purchase (invoice or receipt)


3. Non-Returnable Items

The following are not eligible for return:

  • Used trailers sold “as-is”

  • Custom-built or specially ordered trailers

  • Trailers that have been modified after purchase

  • Clearance or discounted inventory marked as final sale


4. Inspection Requirement

All returns are subject to inspection by our team. We reserve the right to deny a return if:

  • The trailer shows signs of use, damage, or alteration after delivery

  • The issue reported is inconsistent with our inspection findings


5. Refunds

If a return is approved:

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method

  • Processing time is typically 7–14 business days after approval

  • Any applicable fees (restocking, transportation, or inspection fees) may be deducted


6. Restocking Fees

Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 20% of the purchase price, depending on the condition and type of trailer.


7. Shipping and Transportation Costs

  • Original delivery fees are non-refundable

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping or transportation costs unless the return is due to our error

  • We can assist with arranging transport at the customer’s expense


8. Order Cancellations

Orders may be canceled under the following conditions:

  • Before shipment or pickup is scheduled

  • Custom or special orders may require a cancellation fee

  • Deposits on certain trailers may be non-refundable


9. Exchanges

We may offer exchanges on a case-by-case basis. Any price difference between trailers must be paid by the customer or refunded accordingly.


10. Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your trailer arrives damaged or incorrect:

  • Contact us immediately at sales@cmtrailers.store

  • Provide photos and a detailed description of the issue

  • Do not use the trailer until the issue is resolved
